Nauryz Meiramy

Nauryz holiday is considered a start for a new year for the people of Kazakhstan. In days of old people believed that nature regenerates that day; the first spring thunder, the swelling of the buds on the trees, and sprouting of the green take place.
Our enterprise celebrated Nauryz too. Dastarkhan was laid. It is a table-cloth with special dishes on it. We cooked Nauryz kozhe and pilaf, and served round all our colleagues. The holiday included singing and wrestling contests. Memorable prizes were handed to all of the participants.
