Sunflower shale is a valuable feeding stuff and it contains 30-33% of crude protein, a great number of amino acids, particularly, it has a high content of metionine which is favorable for growth and development of young growth. If compared to cake, sunflower shale contains more crude protein and less fat – not over 1,5%. The content of vitamin B in sunflower shale is much higher as in soy shale. Sunflower shale is rich in niacin, riboflavin, choline, biotin, pantothenic acid and pyridoxine. Besides, sunflower shale is a good source of vitamin E. Sunflower shale increases the productivity of animals and increases the quality of cattle breeding products. It increases the fat content in milk and daily milk yield of cows. Sunflower shale has a wide application in poultry feeding. A great advantage of sunflower shale is its resistance to attacks of mycotoxins, therefore the possibility of losses related to risk factors is minimal (the factors accompanying sunflower shale) to a less extent than for other feed stuff.
